In thinking skills you always have to bracket your reasonings in the passage. Step 2, find the intermediate conclusion and lastly what is it all about really, that is the main conclusion.
Being taught to be as skeptical as possible, there will always be flaws and assumptions in almost each and every reasonings stated. They can't be throughly definite, they can't be generalizing, they can't be attacking something else that is misrepresenting the true position, they can't be exaggerating, they can't have any assumptions . . . etc etc etc.
The best part is the question for you to argue further. The funny thing is, it is always easier to go against the main conclusion. Maybe it is because you can just explain it further from the flaws detected. Or maybe, the main conclusion is against your own conscience from the very start. But it is very difficult to make your reasonings flaw-free because the ones against you will be as skeptical as you are too. For whatever small reasons, it will be argued.
So the war will never end, huh?
Try being neutral. Keep an open mind but protect what you believe in. Avoid biasses just because your conscience says it's wrong. What if it's not? What if you're seeing it the other way round? What if you can find it right, and in line with what you have been taught all along? Everyday is a learning experience and no one can stop themselves from making mistakes, and that includes you.
Ok baru semangat nk buat thinking skills. :D:D:D
